Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.”
Ezekiel 37:4-6

Many in Croatia have asked the above question in relation to the region of Lika, which is tucked in-between central Croatia and the coastland. This region has seen more than its fare share of wars in the distant and recent past. Evidence of it’s latest bloody conflict is undeniable. First, by the many shelled out homes which still lay in ruins, ofter overgrown by 23 years of vegetation (when the last conflict ended). Then there are the wounds of the heart. Many have deep hurts which have harden their hearts. The new generation, carries the inherited hurt, which sometimes seems more aggressive and bitter than the generation who experienced it. Not to mention the heavy spiritual climate riveted with witchcraft and the occult. What can you do when entire cities and regions are filled with such wounded souls? You pray and pray a lot! This has been our Lika teams sole activity as we have been meeting once per month for 10 months now, lifting up the name of Jesus and declaring His governance and lordship over the city of Gračac located in the southern part of Lika.

Time has come to take a step forward, and next Saturday, we are inviting the people of Gračac to participate in a fun fellowship afternoon, with live music and lots of fun and fellowship. This will be the first of its kind in that city. We are so blessed to be able to do this as a multi denominational effort, involving various churches from throughout the country who will come together with an American team who will also join us to help support the event and show the love of Jesus to the people of Gračac.
